I like chia seeds!

When we were in New Jersey, my mom decided to concoct a mixture of tomatoes, kiwis and other assorted fruits, zapped together with a twist of lime. I was both extremely sceptical and simultaneously horrified.

Funny enough, it didn’t taste as bad as I presumed. I have a theory that no matter what you blend, it’ll still taste passable.

(But for those who prefer flavours that aren’t challenging on the palette; don’t try it.)

At home, we don’t have a blender but we make do with an electric whisk which both liquefies and reduces to a pulp. Here are some of the combinations we have both tried and tested. Don’t worry. There are no vegetables or tomatoes involved. Just heaps of electric whizzing and chia seeds.

Combination 1:

  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Banana
  • Chia seed

Combination 2:

  • Banana
  • Blueberries
  • Kiwi
  • Chia seed

Note: We added the Chia seed later since we didn’t want it to completely disintegrate.

Here’s an article I found on Manrepeller about chia seed- just food for thought! http://www.manrepeller.com/minor_cogitations/chia-seeds-health-benefits-and-side-effects.html
